Cheryl,
It definitely sounds like a plan that is going to suit you well. I've learned a lot from your publishing books and consulting and for someone like me, who has never written anything in her life, I need consultants like you who can save me time and money from making mistakes. I will never be a publishing expert (I'll leave that to you), I just want to be able to publish my books.

Thanks for the update.

I've been on this spiral staircase all of my career, and I'm pleased to say that it continues to go upward. The "spirals" have been the new opportunities, new faces, and new opportunities I have encountered along my climb. The spirals also represent the things I have started and finished, and the things I am still dragging up the winding staircase as I continue to climb forward.

If the staircase was just one vertical line upward---no spirals----the professional experience would not be as enriching---at least not for me. Spirals add value in my career. At least that has been my experience.

Hi Ryan, Sorry I just approved your comment-got caught in the spam filter somehow. I know we also touched base on Linked in about this. I still maintain that a daily schedule is not right for everyone and for every audience. If you can manage it and your audience doesn't mind, that's cool, it means you've found your perfect fit. I want people to know that if they cannot do this level, doing it weekly, or every other day etc. might be their right fit. Will it yield the same results you have gotten? Depends on the business and the niche to a point as well. Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Cheryl,

Post daily. If you want to make money online in less time. Stay on topic too. Follow each step. Prosper.

Posting daily grows your readership quickly. Establishes your authority. Programs people with your message. Increases your conversions and of course, grows your list.

I tripled my readership on both of my blogs over the past 5 months by posting daily, staying on topic and using SEO. Stick to the basics and prosper.

Thanks Cheryl!

Ya, I'd say that story ranks right up there as pretty bad advice. And to clarify, the "support" person I'm talking to is actually through our hosting service. They provide hosting, but also offer a wide variety of "support" from SEO to actual design. I shudder to think at how any of those work at this point. They also have fairly aggressive sales people. Again, had I not known what I do, or was looking to them for expert help, I'd easily could have been sold a least a couple hundred bucks worth of "help".

BTW, good for you with that helmet law marketing idea!!

Oh....what a sad, sad story, Cheryl. I'm wondering if the person you were speaking with was of those "family friends" who got hired to manage the IT for the small sprinkler company.

Anyhow, I was meeting with someone this week, executive level, who said to me: "Our marketing is very structured. We only do this for this age group, this specific thing for this age group, etc., and we never venture off the track, never." I responded back, "Well, what happens when a fresh opportunity presents itself to market your business, would you do it?" He said, "No, we are very structured."

When the motorcycle helmet law changed in Michigan, my organization jumped on this opportunity to provide community education and market our business at the same time. It was a great opportunity, and we were the only one doing it. When I asked this executive if he would have done what we did, he said, "No, we never go off the plan."
